Flying Colors Comics at the Concord Mayor's Luncheon
Back in July 2011, Flying Colors Comics was honored to receive the City of Concord's Business Recognition Award, saluting our 23+ years of doing business in Concord.
This week, Libby and I were invited to the 27th Annual City of Concord Mayor's Luncheon. We dined with Mayor Ron Leone and other small business owners (from BJ's Brewhouse, Hoffman's Reptiles and Western Vacuum) and were given our plaques commemorating the awards.
The award says Flying Colors is being recognized for "Outstanding Contributions to Our Community"--- and I'd like to say that without your support, there wouldn't be a Flying Colors Comics to get an award like this!
Our staff works hard to make Flying Colors a Concord highlight for anyone visiting the area, but particularly for those who come in week after week to seek out the best in Comics & Other Cool Stuff.
We are honored daily by your patronage, by the many friends we've made here over the years... and we look forward to being here for many more years.
There are challenges ahead--- like there are for any "mom and pop" operation, but for right now, all we would like to say is "Thank You!"
Peace!
